Sold!

I sold two of my prints at the Linden Postcard show, held every year at Linden Gallery in St Kilda. It's the first time I've sold any of my works and to find out that I'd sold both pieces I'd entered was such a great feeling. I wanted to remove the little red dots next to the works and take them home as memento but apparently it's frowned upon.

Here is an image of one of the prints I sold. I don't have a photo of the other one, I really didn't think I'd ever sell it so I never bothered taking a photo of it. I think I'll now go and take photos of all the work I've done to date! Just in case.

Swoon

I went to Swoon's exhibition opening at Metro Gallery last week. I discovered Swoon mid last year while I was searching the bookshelves in the NGV gift shop and have been desperate to see her work in the flesh since that discovery. I didn't think I'd get to view her work here in Melbourne and I definitely didn't think I'd ever view it in a gallery. Swoon is known for her street art and I've hoped she would visit the streets of Melbourne. I now hope she doesn't leave here without decorating our streets with her beautiful work.

Here are some images of her work displayed at Metro Gallery...

Scribble

I went to the Heide Museum of Modern Art not long ago. They have a drawing exhibition on at the moment, Freehand: Recent Australian Drawing. I've put a few images in here of some of the works I like.
